Abstract | Ore deposits of the Okuchi mine are epithermal gold-and silver-bearing quartz veins in chloritized two-pyroxene andesite in the Tertiary volcanic formation. Three montmorillonite specimens, one halloy...site, and one sericite, collected in the mine, were examined in some detail by X-ray, differential thermal, and chemical analyses, and infra-red spectra. Although kaolin minerals are common in the Japanese gold ore deposits, in this mine montmorillonite and sericite are predominant.show more |
