Abstract |
A molar of the N aumann's elephant was collected from the bottom of a small river (Tagiri river) , Quaternary sediments of Itoda-cho, Tagawa district, northern Kyushu. The material is an incomplete mo...lar formed by 4 plates and may be a lower left second molar of tooth. It is 75mm in maximum width, 158mm in maximum height of plate and has a loxodonta plica and other characteristics of the molar of Palaeoloxodon.
