| Abstract | There are many studies on kara and node. However, most of the studies are carried out from the syntactic point of view to minutely describe behaviors of kara and node. In contrast, this study, based o...n the conversation analysis, aims at describing the usage of kara and node in discourse. Based on naturally occurring Japanese conversations which contains kara and node, it analyzes the specific examples one by one to explore what kind of specific features in the conversations kara and node have as conjunctive words and what kind of effects are achieved through the use of kara and node in the entire structure of conversations. Besides, it is very hard for learners of Japanese to use kara and node as naturally as native speakers of Japanese when the learners have a conversation with the native speakers. Therefore, for the learners who want to improve Japanese skills, this study will be a very meaningful research since it explores the natural use of kara and node in conversations.show more |
