| Abstract |
This paper reports on the displacement of conductors that have different lengths between adjacent spans, under strong winds with an uplift component. Our findings were mainly as follows: (1) in the ca...se of a conductor without inclined spans, an uplift wind with a uniform wind profile in height does not affect the unbalanced tension of conductors in spite of the uplift angle wind; however (2) in the case of uplift wind work on only one side of adjacent spans, as the angle of an uplift wind increases, the unbalanced tension of conductors increases.show more
