概要 |
This study focused on the social information processing model (Crick, & Dodge, 1994; Lemerise, & Arsenio, 2000) in order to consider the relationship between the qualitative aspects of mind reading, b...ehavior, and psychosocial adaptation in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). First, the outline of the social information processing theory in typically developing( TD) children was explained. Next, trends in studies on social information processing in children with ASD were explored. Most studies revealed that children with ASD have difficulty in encoding accurately. Additionally, it was hypothesized that experience of unsuccessful social interactions and negative emotions result in a negative orientation to encoding and interpretation and that these cognitive distortions also affect the clarification of goals, response construction, and response decision. Finally, the importance of investigating the association between emotional relationship with others and social information processing in children with ASD and the application of those findings to support such children were also discussed.続きを見る
