| Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to examine the difference in attitude toward dreams by types of dreams. Also, the relationship between dreams recall frequency and personality characteristics was investig...ated. In this study, questionnaire surveys were conducted on healthy youths. The result indicated first “good dreams” influenced behavior and mood at the time of the state of being awake and were regarded as be valuable compared to “bad dreams”. Next, subjects who recall “bad dreams” very often were more likely to be pessimistic than those who did not. On the other hand, an optimism tendency didn’t influence dreams recall frequency. These results suggested the possibility that adaptively disposal toward dreams was done by adjusting understanding of dreams and keeping distance from dreams.show more
