Abstract | The following misuse is often seen when Chinese learners of Japanese choose the Japanese demonstratives " こ, そ, あ". A:おととし、いっしょに箱根へ行ったでしょう。それは6 月でしたよね。(“あれ” is the correct choice here.) B:いいえ、8 月ですよ。...There are two main reasons for the misuses like the above. One is caused by differences between Japanese and Chinese demonstratives and the other one is caused by lack of teaching on nondeictic demonstratives in Japanese. This paper examines whether the learners’ mother tongue interferes with their Japanese when they learn Japanese non-deictic demonstratives, how Chinese learners of Japanese learn Japanese non-deictic demonstratives and how they choose and use Japanese non-deictic demonstratives. Then, in order to find out the use tendency of the Japanese native speakers and the usages which the learners tend to misuse easily, this paper also examines the basic usage of“ こ , そ and あ” in conversations for Japanese native speakers and Chinese students in Japan. Through this survey, the usage tendency of Japanese native speakers and some problems regarding choosing them by Chinese learners were found.show more |
