Abstract |
Tornados hit Saga Plains on June 27, 2004. One of the tornados was recognized to be very strong in Japan and many houses, public facilities and so on suffered damage. This paper reports the concerning... weather conditions and structural damage at Saga and Tosu cities based on the information of governmental meteorological stations, AMeDAS and NeWMeK data. The structural damage in Saga was very serious resulting fifteen injured persons and the damaged houses exceeded 370. The Fujita scales are estimated to be F2 of Saga and F1 of Tosu.show more
