Abstract |
The diffraction of a plane shock wave at a rounded corner was studied numerically. The numerical analysis were carried out by the two-dimensional piecewise linear method (PLM). It was showed that, for... the same corner, the shape of the diffracting shock wave was not held to be self-similar with time. However, the shape of the diffracting shock wave except near the wall were similar in spite that the corner radius changes. The flow field behind the diffracting shock wave was also investigated in the present numerical studies and the characteristics of the second shock wave and the flow separation were discussed.show more
