The purpose of this research is to suggest the utility poles replacement evaluation method from the structural dynamics perspective. This study shows the result of bending test of utility poles subjec...ted to cyclic loading to clarify the failure progress of utility poles by cyclic loading, and measurement of utility poles behavior to confirm the correlation between damage and dynamic characteristics. As a result, as for the bending test, it was confirmed that failure of utility poles subjected to cyclic loading is caused by flexural compression failure by the accumulation of fatigue damages of the concrete. As for dynamic characteristics, it was confirmed that there is the correlation between damage and change of dynamic characteristics, especially natural period and damping.続きを見る
