This paper describes a subjective comparison between a voice-activated word-processor and an ordinary word-processor of manual. typing. Fourteen subjects input three texts in continuous speech mode an...d a text in keyboard mode, and rated both modes by rating-scale method. In continuous speech mode, subjects input the texts BUNSETU by BUNSETU. Speech recognition accuracy is very important experimental factor. To control this factor, a continuous speech recognition simulator was used. In this experiment, three accuracy rates (69. 4%, 76. 6%, and 60. 8% >, which corresponded to the three texts, were used.
