| Abstract |
チョウセンヤマナラシは山火事撹乱後に根萌芽で生育地を広げる先駆種である。用材としての価値の低さから，高齢まで伐採されずに残っている林分は少ないが，九大北海道演習林には，1945 年以前に旧陸軍軍馬補充部が行った火入れによって成立した林分が学術参考保護林として維持されている。この希少な高齢のチョウセンヤマナラシ林分について，1995 年と2015年に行われた毎木調査のデータを報告する。
Populus... tremula var. davidiana is one of the pioneer species, characterized by habitat expansion by root suckers after disturbance of wildfire. There are few stands that remain until old age because of their low value as timber. In the Ashoro Research Forest, Kyushu University, there is the Populus stand that was established by controlled burn for the army horse pasture before 1945. The stand has been maintained as a protection forest for scientific research by Kyushu University. We report data from tree survey conducted in 1995 and 2015 on the rare aged Populus stand.show more
