| Abstract |
Metabolic syndrome, a cluster of metabolic and cardiovascular disorders has risen worldwide. The issue gets increasing attention because its progressive form lead to type 2 diabetes mellitus, cardiova...scular diseases and premature mortality. Intervention tools are required to prevent them. Physical fitness is recognized to be a first step intervention tool. There are two purposes of this review: to give a summary of the metabolic syndrome and physical fitness; to examine two relationships, namely, the relationship between metabolic syndrome and physical fitness and the relationship between all-cause mortality and handgrip strength.show more
