Th...is paper aims to look for some clues to the problem of sexual bias in Japanese society through the study of the life and thought of a woman writer, Sata Ineko. Her views on ideal love will be examined in Chapter 1 through her history of reading. These views are presumed to have governed her attitudes and actions at her private life.
