| 概要 | 「ロシア帝国および全タタール」 J.ハッセ（1684～1742） 1739年 ニュールンベルク ドイツのハッセによるこの地図の日本はケンペル型とみられるが、その北には「く」の字型のサハリン、その南に「ESOYEDSO Oku Yesoの土地」という半島がある。奥エゾは、江戸時代のサハリンおよび千島に対する呼称であるが、この土地の南東部には、北海道にあたる「YESO Gasima」の記載もある。なお、...アジア北東部の北と東に突出した半島はロシアのベーリングの報告にもとづいて、1730年頃からロシア製の地図などに登場する形である。 小野菊雄2002（第43回中央図書館貴重文物展観図録） "The Russian Empire and All Tatars" J. Hase (1684–1742) 1739 Nuremberg This map by Hase appears to follow the Kaempfer-style shape of Japan, but Sakhalin is in the north shaped like an angular bracket, and there is a peninsula called “ESOYEDSO Oku Yezo” to the south. Oku Yezo was the name for Sakhalin and Kuril islands in the Edo period. Furthermore, there is also a description of “YESO Gasima” in the southeastern part of the land, which corresponds to Hokkaido. The peninsula, which protrudes from the north and east of northeastern Asia, has appeared on maps made in Russia since around 1730 based on Bering’s reports.続きを見る |
