Jansson 1632 Amsterdam In this map by Dutch cartographer Jansson, Japan’s shape is inherited from Teixeira, but the Korean peninsula is correctly depicted as a peninsula rather than an island. To the left and right of the map are pictures of Chinese, Russians, Arabians, and people of several other ethnic groups of the world. There is a bird’s eye view of six cities such as Jerusalem and Aden at the top; maps of this type were often created in Europe during this period.続きを見る |
