| 概要 | 「アジア新図」Ａ．オルテリウス（1527～98） 1567年頃 アムステルダム オランダの地図製作者オルテリウスによるもので、右上方に日本が描かれている。その形状は（Ocaquo）（Meaco）（Bungo）などの地名がある本州、その南西に隣接する（Tonsa）とある四国、さらに（Cagoxuma）とある大きな島ほか数個の島からなる九州が、やや北東から南西方向に並んでいる。この形状は、地図史上では1...560年のボルトガル人ベリューの地図に初登場することから「ベリュー型」ともあるいは「オルテリウス型」ともいわれる。 小野菊雄2002（第43回中央図書館貴重文物展観図録） “New Asian Map” A. Its shape consists of the main island, which has been named with Ocaquo, Meaco, Bungo, etc. There are the neighboring Tonsa and Shikoku to the southwest, and a large island Cagoxuma with several islands, some of which are lined up from northeast to southwest, form Kyushu. As this shape first appeared in the map of the Portuguese Berieux in 1560, it is called the “Bérieux type” or the “Ortelius type.”続きを見る |
