| 概要 | 「アジア新図」 N.フィシェル（1618～79頃） 1657年 アムステルダム オランダの地図製作者フィシェルのこの地図では、日本とその周辺はテイセラの日本図によっている。アメリカ大陸の陸地とアジアの間には、「アニアン」という海峡が記されているが、これは1560年代からのヨーロッパ製の地図に登場してくる想像上の産物である。すなわちフィシェルの頃にも、アメリカとアジアの間がどうなっているのかは未だ解...明されてはいなかった。なお、中国には「万里の長城」が描かれている。 小野菊雄2002（第43回中央図書館貴重文物展観図録） “New Map of Asia” N. Visscher (1618–79) 1657 Amsterdam In this map by Dutch cartographer Visscher, Japan and its surroundings are depicted according to Teixeira’s map of Japan. The Strait of “Anian” appears between the landmasses of the Americas and Asia, a mythical strait that appears on European maps from the 1560s. In other words, even in the days of Visscher, there lacked a clarity on the area between the Americas and Asia. The Great Wall of China is depicted in China.続きを見る |
