概要 |
本稿では、中国語のwh等位節(Wh-coordinate Complex)を含む文の構造を考察し、中国語wh等位節を許す条件及びその構造について議論する。結論として、中国語のwh等位節はmono-clausal構造を持つと主張する。 This paper focuses on wh-coordination in CQWC (Conjoined Question Words Construction...) in Mandarin Chinese. Chinese is known as a wh-in-situ language, in which wh-words do not need to undergo overt wh-movement. Nevertheless, there is observed that D-linked wh-coordinated complex appears in derived position and gains a single-pair type reading. In addition, there are some limits for forming wh-coordination; one is that only the combinations of a wh-argument and a wh-adjunct or two wh-adjuncts are possible. Based on this observation, this paper firstly investigated the possibility of forming multiple wh-questions in Mandarin Chinese via coordinating wh-words and generalized these facts. Secondly, it suggests that wh-coordination in Chinese is mono-clausal, instead of bi-clausal. Lastly, in this paper I provided a non wh-movement analysis and tried to clarify the dependencies between wh-words and their theta positions in a coordinate conjoined structure.続きを見る
