| 概要 |
In this short history I will consider 1867, in which an art school was established in the Ministry of Engineering and western art education began, to be the starting point for Japanese design, and loo...king at the history of design over the 150 year period from that year to 2012, will contrast social developments which affected overall design in Japan with developments in design in Fukuoka as a region. This short history is divided into nine periods, based on epoch making events in Japanese society as a whole or in Japanese design, and links developments in overall Japanese design to developments in design in Fukuoka. In addition, with regard to developments in design in Fukuoka, I will look at the activities of design organizations, the design histories and production area development of furniture and textile makers in the prefecture, as well as the histories of universities and colleges involved in design education and research after their establishment. The history of design from the Meiji Restoration to the present is laid out in a chronology which contrasts developments in overall Japanese design with those in design in Fukuoka.続きを見る
