This study focuses on the practical problems of the short term, intensive group structured encounter group in Korean elementary schools. The structured encounter group was tested on 53 elementary scho...ol students for 3 days. Through this experience, we could recognize the following problems. 1. Problems related to the constitution of the group. (1) Orientation: it is necessary to collaborate with the organs of education and for teachers to participate in study group about encounter group. (2) Considering the seasons: A matter to be considered is the need for an environment where the students can move freely and to create programs that take the season under consideration. (3) The length of the program: At least 2 days are needed. (4) The necessity of co-facilitator: it is necessary to have a co-facititator with previous knowledge of the students. 2. Problems related to the process of the group. (1) Following up on students who attended for a day: it is important for the teachers to follow up to be supportive and to keep in touch even after the group exercise has ended. (2) The facilitation: it is important to understand the characters of attended students and to choose the most appropriate facilitation method for them.続きを見る
