The current research is an attempt at presenting regional and cultural characteristics of GENFUKEI (Original-Scape) by looking at Chejudo as one of the many GENFUKEI of Asia. The purpose of this study... was to focus on the spatial attributes of GENFUKEI. The method used was individual non-structured interviews. The participants were 10 adults living in Chejudo, South Korea. The participants were acquaintances of the experimenter and had developed a relationship such that relaxed interaction with the experimenter was possible. Results of conversations held with the participants revealed two axes of space-work and play-on the formation of GENFUKEI. In addition, spatial scope was classified into four categories: 1) within-home premises (ma-dang, ol-lae, nul, etc.), 2) dong-ne(gol-mog, pong-aang-a-re, etc), 3) Around dong-ne(deul-pan, nae-chang, etc), 4) dong-nae-bag(o-reum, duel-pan, etc.). For each of the four categories of spatial scope, representative images were taken from a picture book of Cheju Island.
本研究ではアジア原風景の一つとして韓国済州島の原風景を取り上げた。原風景から見られる空間的特性を抽出し構造化するとともに, 具体的空間を映象化して提示することを目的とした。それによって原風景の地域性・文化性が浮き彫りにされると考えられる。調査対象者は済州島で生まれ育った知りあい10名である。調査には子ども時代の懐かしい風景や遊びについて筆者と語りあう方法（自然場面に近い非構造化面接）が使われた。面接の逐語録の分析の結果, 空間・風景概念は出来事的, 風景的, 評価的な側面で言及されていること, 仕事と遊びという２軸の活動の空間が原風景形成の空間として言及されていることが, 示された。また仕事や遊び活動における原風景空間は次の4つの範囲に分類された。1）家の敷地内 : マダン（庭）, オルレ（家の進入路）,ウヨンパッ（敷地内の畑）など, 2）ドンネ（住宅が集まっている主な生活空間）: ゴルモク（裏道, 細道）, 大きい木下など, 3）ドンネ周辺 (町の周辺の自然的空間）: ドルパン（野原）, ネチャン（小川）など, 4）ドンネバック : 町の住宅地とかなり離れた遠い所の自然的空間 : ドルパン（野原）・オルム（小山, 丘）など。これら4つの範囲の活動の空間に対する具体的イメージは, 済州島を扱った写真集から逐語録で見られた空間に近い映像を抽出し, 視覚的に提示した。続きを見る
