概要 |
The purpose of the present study was to evaluate maximal aerobic capacity and age associated difference in responses to submaximal exercise in normal middle and old aged men and women. Subjects were f...our groups: "old aged men" ( n=10; age,70.6 years ; stature, 162.2 +- 6.9cm ; weight 59.29 +- 6.49kg ) . "old aged women" ( n=6; age,70.4 years ; stature, 150.5 +- 3.0cm ; weight 47.15 +- 6.37kg ), "middle aged men" ( n=10; age, 35.1 years ; stature, 168.9 +- 6.0cm ; weight, 64.05 +- 10.90kg ), and "middle aged women" ( n=10; age, 34.0 years ; stature, 156.8 +- 3.8cm ; weight, 51.90 +- 5.65kg ). Exercise test were performed using bicycle ergometer with a stepwise(3steps) increase of work load. Each period of exercise was 4 minutes. Maximal aerobic capacity in old aged and middle aged men were 27.5 +- 6.0 and 39.4 +- 9.1 ml/kg/ min, respectively. However, maximal aerobic capacity in both women's groups were almost same values (old aged ;37.6 +- 7.3, middle aged ;39.5 +- 8.8 ml/kg/min ). Ergometer exercises increased heart rate almost in linear in ole aged and middle aged groups in both sex. Exercise induced a greater increase in systolic pressure both old aged men and women than both middle aged groups. However, ergometer exercise increased a very small amount in old aged and middle aged men and women. Rate pressure product in old aged men at the same work load was always higher than in middle aged men. We found that increase in rate pressure product were by the similar amount in middle and old women at the same work load. So, it would be suggested that sex different in old aged men and women in rate pressure product to submaximal exercise was caused by different level of maximal aerobic capacity.続きを見る
