| 概要 | The Korean War erupted in 1950, five years after the collapse of the Japanese Empire. It was massive in terms of the scale of the fighting and the number of casualties, and had a major impact on the p...olitics and economy of postwar Japan. There is a vast accumulation of research on the origins, characteristics, and consequences of the war. In the past, the primary point of contention was whether South or North Korea initiated the war. However, with the release of Soviet data and a study of internal North Korean documents, it has been clarified that the war began with the invasion of the North Korean army. There is no doubt about it now. However, the North Koreans and the Chinese refuse to acknowledge this fact—to use a common expression—they continue to lie to the international community. Meanwhile, the controversy regarding the origin of the Korean War continues, and many researchers have joined the debate driven by ideological differences. The purpose of this paper is not to deepen the perspective of such research, but to examine two aspects that have failed to attract the attention of researchers in the past: the plan to take 500,000 people from Seoul after the start of the war and Kim Il Sung's regime in exile in Manchuria, using testimonies and documentary materials, especially those from the former Soviet Union.続きを見る |
