| 概要 | This paper outlines Japanese falconry in ancient times and clarifies that it occupied an important position for sovereignty. First, it focuses on the takakaibe, who played an important role in soverei...gn falconry in the period before the establishment of Japan as a nation governed according to ritsuryo codes, when it was known as Wakoku. Next, it clarifies the transition of the shuyoshi (hoyoshi) as a government office related to sovereign falconry when Japan had become a ritsuryo nation and also clarifies the actual state of falconers (takakai) and sparrow hawk hunters (haitakakai) who were in charge of falconry. In consideration of the history of the above system, this paper clarifies the sense in which falconry sponsored by the ancient sovereignty was important to that sovereignty through an analysis of the herb gathering (kisoigari) held by the retired emperor Uda in the area around Heiankyo in 898 and an examination of the imperial field visit clearly described in "Shin Gishiki." In addition, the paper also considers imperial hunting reserves as places where the sovereignty practiced falconry and "kari-no-tsukai," who went to regional areas and hunted with falcons on behalf of the emperor. Furthermore, this paper also mentions the system of presenting falcons from regional areas and the actual state of catching falcons. 本稿では、古代日本の鷹狩について概観しながら、それが玉権にとって重要な位置を占めたことを明らかにした。まず、律令国家成立以前、日本が倭国と呼ばれていた時代の王権の鷹狩において、重要な役割を果たした鷹廿部に注目した。次に律令国家の段階における玉権の鷹狩に関わる役所として主鷹司（放鷹司）の変遷を明らかにすると共に、鷹狩を担った鷹飼や鶴飼の実態についても明らかにした。以上のような制度の歴史の考察を踏まえた上で、古代王権が主催する鷹狩が王権にとってどのような意味で重要であったのか、この点について宇多上皇が898年に平安京の郊外で行った競狩の分析や『新儀式』に明記された野行幸の検討を通して明らかにした。また主権による鷹狩が行われた場所としての禁野や天皇の代わりに地方におもむいて鷹狩を行う「狩の使」についても考察し、地方からの鷹の献上のシステムや牒の捕獲の実態についても言及した。続きを見る |
