| 概要 | Over the past five years, the Society for Hawks, Hawking Grounds, and Environment Studies has conducted a series of workshops and fieldwork investigations. The results of this research have been stead...ily published via the organization's annual bulletin, The Journal of Hawks, Hawking Grounds, and Environment Studies. In order to share the research results with the general public, "A History of Japanese Falconry" was published (Bensei Shuppan, February 2021). Here, I translate the preface of this book into English and introduce table of Contents and outline. In addition, I explain the significance of planning Special Edition: A History of Japanese Falconry by translating three chapters that describe the history of falconry from ancient times to the Edo period and another three chapters from details into English. 鷹・鷹場・環境研究会では、5年間にわたる研究活動を続け、年報機関紙『鷹・鷹場・環境研究』にその成果を公表してきた。その研究成果を広く一般に共有するために、『鷹狩の日本史』を出版した（勉誠出版、2021年2月）。ここではその序章を英文に翻訳し、本書の構成と概要を紹介する。さらに、古代から近世までの鷹狩の歴史を叙述した3論文と各論から3章を英文翻訳し、『鹿狩の日本史』特集号として企画する意義を解説する。続きを見る |
