概要 |
This paper is a report on a TOEIC preparation program run by Kyushu University’s Job and Career Support Center and is based on the practical experience of a Japanese coordinator, two Japanese instruct...ors and two Canadian instructors throughout the course of its development. The program has been running consecutively for the past ten years and is offered to both undergraduate students and graduate students enrolled at Kyushu University. In the 2020 academic year this course was granted approval for official accreditation from the university. The paper covers the following four points: 1. Installation of the accredited program; 2. Career development and topics frequently appearing on Part 6 and Part 7 of the reading section of the TOEIC Listening and Reading Test; 3. The role of a Japanese teacher in teaching practical skills and TOEIC test-taking strategies; and finally, 4. Recent changes made to the TOEIC Listening and Reading Test and implications this has on teaching from the perspective of a native English speaking instructor.続きを見る
