概要 |
The purpose of this study was to collect information regarding the dietary habits of university handball players. Eighteen male (height: 174.7±1.1cm, weight: 71.6±8.3kg, age: 19.7±1.1years) and 32 fem...ale (height: 162.7±4.9cm, weight: 57.3±4.9kg, age: 20.0±1.1years) competitive handball players, who train about 3hours per day, recorded all fluid and food consumed during 3-days period. Dietary analysis revealed that dietary energy intakes of male was 1675±511.7 (kcal/day)[23.7±7.9 (kcal/kg/day)]and that of female was 1628±364.8 (kcal/day)[29.0±6.0 (kcal/kg/day)]. Dietary intakes of both macronutrient (carbohydrate, fat, and protein) and micronutrient (calcium, iron, vitamin Bl, vitamin B2 and vitamin C) were insufficient with respect to their training demands. Handball players, who participated in this study, were not in energy balance in daily life. This study showed that there was a need for providing nutritional information to the handball players in order to improve their diet and consequently their athletic performance.続きを見る
