The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of an apron uniform with a popular children's character attached. 77 nursing students wore these apron uniforms during pediatric nursing practic...e. For the indexes of these effects, we used the anxious scale (AS) and the self reports (SR) by the 77 nursing students, 13 children and 24 mothers. As a result, the emotional anxiety was lower than the cognitive anxiety by AS. Most of the nursing students reported that they used the character to talk and play with children during the pediatric nursing practice. We suggest that an apron uniform with character attached will help to improve communication with children in pediatric care.続きを見る
