概要 |
This study clarifies the socio-economic factors through qualitative analysis that inf1uence the mental depression of foreign residents in Kyushu area. Regarding the respondents' country of origin by a...rea, 81.3% of the total respondents are from Asia, Africa, and Latin America, while 18.7% are from Europe and North America. 45.0% of them answered that they come to Japan to work or to be trained, while 55.0% of them answered that they come to Japan to marry, stay with family, and study. The multi-regression analysis indicates that when the number of Tangible and Emotional support was controlled, country of origin by area (β=-.252, P<0.0l, β=-.198, P<0.05 respectively) has the largest contribution to the CES-D scores, followed by the purpose to come to Japan (β=.226, p<0.01, β=.194, p<0.05 respectively). This study indicates that in order to help to prevent foreign residents from being mentally depressed, Japanese society needs to set up support system. This applies particular1y to Non-Western, and to those who come to Japan to work.続きを見る
