概要 The relationship between sport and mass media has been interdependent for a long time. Media, people and/or organizations with authority have given us bias to sport as to the portrayals of reality cre...ated by media in recent years. The purpose of the present study was to clarify trends of media sport research while reviewing the studies published from 2000 to 2019 in Japan. In the past two decades, although the number of papers of media sport in Japan has increased and changed the media environment on a worldwide scale, most media sport studies have focused not on the Internet but traditional media such as TV, newspapers and magazines. Also, this review showed that the subjects of media sport in Japan might be influenced by the popularity of sporting events. In other words, only a few studies about media sport which have not focused on major sport or events such as the Olympics were identified in previous studies. In the future, more studies which are not affected by the popularity of sport or events have to be accumulated. In addition, the relationship between sport and new media including the Internet which have a lot of connections with a vast number of people, will have to be researched to develop sport culture in Japan.続きを見る
