九州大学総合研究博物館所蔵・歴史的木製什器コレクションの価値と課題

| 概要 | 筆者らは、九州大学総合研究博物館が救出した、九州大学箱崎キャンパスの工学部・理学部及び馬出キャンパス（病院地区）の医学部などの旧校舎で使用されていた木製什器コレクション約350点について、2016年１月25～26日に実地調査を実施して、その学術的価値・実用的価値などを評価した。また合わせて、同コレクションの回収方法・保管方法・資料状態・付随資料についても評価した。同コレクションは、学術的にも実用的...にも非常に高い価値を有しているが、その保全管理面などにおいて多くの課題を抱えていることが明らかになった。本稿は、同調査の報告書に基づき、論点を整理・統合して、加筆・修正を行ったものである。 By the end of the year 2015, Kyushu University Museum rescued approximately three hundred fifty historical furniture pieces that had been used in Engineering Department and Science Department at Hakozaki Campus of Kyushu University and in Medical Department at Maidashi Campus, which is known as Hospital Area of Kyushu University. The authors examined those historical furniture pieces on January 25th and 26th, 2016 to assess their academic and practical value. At the same time, the authors also evaluated rescue method, store method, condition of historical furniture pieces, and documents of the Kyushu University Historical Wooden Furniture Collections. Based on the examination on the spot, it became obvious that the collections had extremely high value for both academic and practical purposes. On the contrary, it also became clear that the collections had a lot of problems in terms of maintenance and management.
