A purpose of this study is to clear the spatial arrangement of the areas to supply the conditions for fire fly ecosystem. Conditions for catching melanian snail throughout larva life in current and those of flying throughout adult in the air were analyzed at Kawabe river in Kumamoto. Numbers of rocks (boulder and cobblestone), current velocity and water depth in the river and vegetation on the bank were measured. Numbers of melanian snails in the river and these of adults in the air were observed. Results are as follows. Area of larva stands is in need of conditions under 10 m/sec in current velocity, 60 cm in depth and above 140/m^2 in numbers of rocks. Fire fly, laying eggs, larva, pupa and adult need not only spots under these conditions but also areas under them. In addition to supply some areas consisting of the conditions for life, it is important to keep spatial arrangement to these areas with linking each other in the river, bank and air.
