1. Neither exposure to sublethal level of DDT nor oral administration of sublethal level of DDT inhibited growth of the carp, Cyprinus carpio. 2. Exposure to sublethal level of BHC and oral administration of sublethal level of BHC decreased the conversion efficiency of food in the carp and inhibited the growth in the first two weeks of the experiment. But the conversion efficiency of food was recovered after the first two weeks and the fish grew as control ones. 3. Oral administration of sublethal level of PCB remarkably decreased the conversion efficiency of food and inhibited growth of the goldfish, Carassius auratus .
