概要 |
We reviewed the study on emotional intelligence (EI) and the relationship between EI and coping. EI is the intelligence to perceive, recognize and control one's own and other's emotions. There are two... types of EI measurements : performance-based tests and self-reported questionnaires. This review showed that : (a) Self-reported EI showed a consistent pattern of relations with coping styles, whereas performance-based EI demonstrated low or no correlation eith coping styles, (b) Self-reported EI was correlated with adaptive coping positively and with maladaptive coping negatively, and (c) self-reported EI might be confounded with personality. The adove-mentioned studies were of adults. Therefore we argued that future studies on EI should examine the EI of children.続きを見る
