| 概要 | To explore the syntax and relationships of “Shi Bu Shi”, this paper analyzed examples of the “Shi Bu Shi” construction using the “Chinese-Japanese Bilingual Corpus”. Through investigation of all the e...xamples, it was revealed that the pattern of“ Shi Bu Shi” construction is very frequently used in modern Chinese and that the “Shi Bu Shi” construction appears most frequently in the sentence final position. In addition, the “Shi Bu Shi” sentence-middle construction and “Shi Bu Shi” sentence-final construction are sometimes interchangeable. The “Shi Bu Shi” sentence-middle construction can be replaced by “Shi Bu Shi” sentence-final construction in most cases (e.g.: as a single questioning process), but the latter option cannot be substituted by the former under certain contexts because it has unique functions (e.g.: as asking for permission, as making suggestions politely, as establishing a fact and so on). Through the analysis of the semantic expansion process of the“ Shi Bu Shi” sentence-final construction, we also found that the“ Shi Bu Shi” sentence-final type has a high co-occurrence relationship with “Ni Shuo” or “Nin Shuo” or “Wo Shuo” phrases. In these cases it serves as a discourse marker. The study’s most dramatic finding was that the “Shi Bu Shi” sentence-final construction plays an important role as a tag question in dialogues. Accordingly, we can also build up a hypothesis about the cognitive semantic network of “Shi Bu Shi” sentence-final construction.続きを見る |
