概要 Vasari attributes the introduction of oil painting in Italy to Antonello da Messina's friendship with Jan Van Eyck in the fifteenth century. Scholars have long questioned whether this friendship exist...ed, but it is apparent that Antonello was one of the first Italian painters to fall under the influence of Flemish painting in the fifteenth century.
