概要 |
Numerical analyses have been carried out to explain and predict the characteristics of subsonic and supersonic diagonal MHD generators, using a quasi-one-dimensional theory. The steady one-dimensiona...l conservation equations, coupled with the Maxwell's equations and the generalized Ohm's law, are solved. It was shown that, in the case of a channel with constant cross-section area, the effect of the Joule heating is dominant over the flow properties and the limiting length of the channel for choking decreases with an increase in the internal current. On the other hand, in the case of a divergent channel, the limiting length decreases with an increase in the interaction parameter, but it is almost independent of the external current in subsonic generators.続きを見る
