概要 This paper describes the results of the numerical simulation on the effects of bay windows and fences on cross-ventilation in a house. The model house is a simple cube room with two relatively large o...penings on opposite walls respectively. The thickness of the walls and the depth of the bay windows from the walls to the outside limbs are considered as parameters. The fences are placed around a model house to set the distance from the fences to the walls uniform. The distance and the height of the fences are considered as paramerers. These parameters are changed independently. The mathematical model of turbulence adopted here is ordinary k-ε 2-equation mode1. These factors have great influences on the indoor air flow pattern, flow rate and pressure loss at the openings and indoor. When the house is surrounded by fences, the correct estimation of the ventilation rate requires precedent treatment of pressure loss of fences. Multimedia processing is one of the most important issues in current information processing technology. Combined with high speed communication networks, multimedia systems provide us a flexible and powerful computational enviroment eliminating the barrier of distance and time. One of their most important applications is multimedia computer aided education, Therefore, the authors have been engaged in multimedia computer aided education systems, paying attention to application of image processing technology to the multimedia systems. In this paper, we present a target tracking system for automatic capturing of lecture scenes, which is one of our research activities in applying image processing technology to multimedia computer aided education systems. The target tracking system consists of object model acquisition, object detection and object tracking, which are realized by histogram matching. Here, we describe the outline of the system and preliminary experimental results.続きを見る
