| 概要 |
More than 70% of Uyghur women in rural oasis of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of northwestern P.R. China engage in agriculture. They also take a significant role in child-bearing and house chore a...long the traditional life style, and participate actively in the ceremonial occasions throughout year. The education level of these women is considered to have a great impact on the education level of their children, next-generation, as well as on conveying the tradition of their ethnic culture and future development of this population group. However, there has not been much study based on field work about the education of rural Uyghur women. This article, based on the field work, is to look at the education situation of rural Uyghur women in Southern Xinjiang, P.R. China, and to analyses the people’s views on their daughters, and to discuss the current issues on the subject to highlight for future consideration.
中国西北部に位置する新疆のオアシス農村部において､ウイグル人女性は不可欠な労働力として女性人口の70％以上が農作業に携わっている｡一方､伝統的な生活習慣に基づいているウイグル人の農村社会では､女性は家庭においても育児や家事などに従事し､また､伝統社会における冠婚葬祭や年中行事などにも積極的に参加している｡このような農村社会において大きな役割を果たしているウイグル人女性が受けてきた教育のレベルは､次の世代を担う子どもたちの教育をはじめ､民族文化の伝承､ひいては民族全体の発展にも影響を与えていると考えられる｡しかし､現在に至ってウイグル人の農村社会における女性の教育に注目し､フィールド調査を行った研究は皆無であると言っても過言ではない｡本稿はフィールド調査に基づいて､南新疆の農村部を中心にウイグル人女性の教育情況(教育歴､職業など)と､その子女の教育に対する考えなどについて検討し､その現状を明らかにするものである｡続きを見る
