概要 |
A boost type converter is used in general for power-factor correction. In this case, a DC-DC converter is connected behind the boost converter to generate the isolated output voltage on secondary side.... Such a two-stage converter has drawbacks of high cost, large size, and low efficiency. Previously, the full bridge converter that was combined with two boost converters has been proposed, and it is of high efficiency. However, this converter cannot be controlled in the duty ratio range of more than 0.5. This paper presents the improved converter that is able to be controlled for duty ratio of more than 0.5 by using the discontinuous conduction mode associated with the secondary inductor. As a result, a good power-factor-correction capability can be obtained. Furthermore, these characteristics were analyzed, and was confirmed experimentally.続きを見る
