| 概要 |
The purpose of this research is to study the narratives of the past of the elderly in relation to their attitudes toward the past and life satisfaction. A scale consisting of 9 questions was developed... to measure the frequency of articulation of spontaneous reminiscences in daily life. The sample consisted of 78 elderly people. The results suggest that the elderly who recall their past positively didn't talk about the past frequently, and that negative narratives were told more than positive ones. It was also found that the elderly who recall their past positively tend to be more satisfied with life. These results suggest that there is a meaningful relationship between narratives of the past, attitudes toward the past, and life satisfaction. When understanding the elderly, the frequency and contents of their narratives are valuable sources of reference.続きを見る
