The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence that involvement in groups exerts on the self-acceptance of senior high school students. In Study I, the influence that involvement in a signi...ficant group had on self-acceptance was investigated by administering the Self-Acceptance Inventory (SAl) to senior high school students. In addition, they were also asked about their involvement in significant groups. It was found that the deeper their involvement, the higher that their self-acceptance. In Study II, the influence that the involvement in family, extra curricular activities (clubs), and peer groups has on the development of self-acceptance was investigated. The SAI and questions about involvement in family, extra curricular activities (clubs), and peer groups were administered to senior high school students. Differences in attitude toward each group were not found, but the students who selected family from the 3 groups had higher scores on the SAI than the others.続きを見る
