This article reviews collaboration between guardians and schoolteachers of children with developmental disorders. First, an overview about collaboration is presented. Then, the factors that both promo...te and prevent the collaboration between guardians and schoolteachers of children with developmental disorders are examined. A survey was conducted on a model collaboration between guardians and schoolteachers of children with developmental disorders. The results clarified that among the factors that promote and prevent collaboration, not only the factor of each guardian and schoolteacher but also the school that the teacher was connected to was a major factor that influenced collaboration. We then considered how the teacher could be provided with flexibility. A school counselor and special educational coordinator are reviewed. In particular, the effectiveness of the approach utilized the network for the collaboration around the children with developmental disorders of elementary school counselor was confirmed, and significance to examine the collaboration a viewpoint of school counselor was confirmed. Finally, it is concluded that not only qualitative study but also quantitative study needs to be conducted for multilateral examination about collaboration.続きを見る
