The purpose of this paper is to investigate monotonic and cyclic behavior of offset H-shaped steel beams to square concrete filled steel tubular (CFT) column connection panels with exterior diaphragms.... The main objective of this research is to establish the plastic strength calculation method for the panels based on the limit analysis. Four cruciform subassemblages are tested under the cyclic and monotonic loading in order to obtain fundamental data for the collapse mechanism of the panels. The plastic strength calculation method is proposed and the accuracy of the method is demonstrated in comparison with the experimental results. Major findings are as follows: I) the assumed collapse mechanisms coincide with the experimental results, 2) the proposed formulae underestimate the experimental strength of the connection panels.続きを見る
