通常，松くい虫の防除に関しては，薬剤の空中散平等による方法がとられているが，都市の中にあるマツ林では公害への懸念から，それらの方法がとれず，伐倒焼却等の薬剤を使用しない方法によって防除を行なっていかねばならない．伐倒焼却等は，無公害の方法として評価されるべきものであるが，経費的にはかならずしも軽減されるものではない．その実態を報告した例も少ないので，伐倒焼却による防除方法をとる九州大学早良演習林の...所有する海岸マツ林を対象として経費的側面について検討を加えた．併せて都市林としての森林管理に要する費用についても言及した．その要点をのべるとつぎのとおりである． 早良演習林では，昭和51～61年の11年間で4941本，2490．45m3のマツ枯損がみられ，防除費として，昭和52～61年度の10年間で約2，588万円を支出している．平均すると年間449本のマツ枯損と258．8万円の防除費となっている．昭和61年度の防除費と他の育林に要する費用の合計は約550．5万円であった．ha当たり約10．8万円になる．これは一般的なマツの森林経営における平均育林費と較べて5．2倍となっている．また演習林に捨てられたゴミの清掃に多数の市民の協力がみられる．すなわち，早良演習林ではマツ枯損による費用負担は大きく，しかも都市林であるがゆえに，通常の森林経営とは異なる費用が必要である．
For prevention of pine's damage by nomatode, there are techniques of scattering pesticide by airplane on pine forest and of cutting and burning of wilting pine. The latter is technique that needs high cost. But there is a few example that was analyzed for cost. Sawara forest of Kyushu Univ. has prevented continuing pine’s damage by cutting and burning of wilting pine. So Sawara forest of Kyushu univ. which is pine forest on seafront, Fukuoka district, and has a function of recreation for citizens, has been analyzed. The result of analysis is summarized as follows； Sawara forest had the wilting pine trees of number of 4941 and volume of 2490 m3 1976-1986. The mean number of wilting pine tree yearly was number of 449.25.88 million yen was expenced for the prevention of wilting pine tree and the transport of wilting trees out of forest and its burning 1977-1986.The mean cost for year was 2.58 million yen. The cost of silviculture in 1986 was 5.5 million yen. It is 108 thousand yen per hectare. The cost of Sawara forest is 5.2 times as many as other general pine forest. In addition, Sawara forest is maintained partly by action of volunteers. The groups performes cleaning rubbish which visitors had dumped in its forest.続きを見る
