概要 |
I show that the niyotte phrase expressing an agent can only co occur with the verbs that have an agent argument and assign o to an object, in Japanese passive sentences, and that they are adjuncts bas...ed on the observation of the scope interpretations. Then, I propose that the passive morpheme, rare, that niyotte phrases expressing an agent can only attach to the verb that have an agent argument and assign o to an object, and deletes an agent argument from the argument structure of the verb it attaches to.
