Because of the revised market law since 2004, wholesalers permitted to collect commodities through not only consigning but also buying by themselves. Ono (2006) suggested the possibility that the wholesalers are provided with more risk-taking function by amending acts. Moreover, Saito (2011) mentioned the possibility that wholesalers got an opportunity to display their coordinate function by buying collection. This paper conducted a survey with A wholesaler in Local City Center Wholesale Market for inspecting two possibilities mentioned above. As a result, A wholesaler did not perform risk-taking function in buying collection while coordinate function was displayed in both buying collection and consignment.
