概要 |
In team sports, some constructs of the team process are important factors for team performance; therefore, exploring the group process of a team is crucial for improving team performance. The purpose ...of this article is to construct a team performance prediction model for sport teams, employing team-level variables. For this purpose, we reviewed the previous studies on group process in a variety of groups (work groups, sport teams, military groups, etc.), and interviewed a number of players and coaches. Consequently, we chose three sociopsychological constructs: organizational citizenship behavior (OCB: Organ, 1983), the team mental model (TMM: Smith et al., 1983), and collective efficacy (CE: Bandura, 1985). Subsequently, these three sociopsychological constructs were used to structure a team performance prediction model for sport teams. This model involves two aspects-a behavioral and a mental. To conclude, we stated future perspectives and directions for our studies, relating to the model.続きを見る
