概要 |
In this article, the current status and future prospect of life skills education through physical education in schools were discussed. First of all, several life skills training programs through sport... or physical activity were introduced and the studies in which the effects of such programs have been evaluated were reviewed. Then, the studies investigating the effects of social skills training in physical education settings in schools were reviewed. The results of these studies suggest that it would be possible to teach various kinds of life skills in physical education classes. However, it was insisted that, because of the differences of education systems between Japan and other countries, original programs and/or procedures teaching life skills through physical education in schools should be developed. Additionally, it was emphasized that generalization or transfer should be taken into consideration to implement the life skills training programs in schools. In the final part of the article, some suggestions for developing effective life skills education systems through physical education in schools were presented.続きを見る
